The August 13th, 2016 The Biggest Loser Race Series Chicago Half Marathon in Illinois is a walker friendly event, and a great event for first time half marathoners.  The Race series is one of the most supportive half marathon series out there in the USA for back of the pack participants and first timers.  They "get it" when it comes to accepting the changes in the half marathon industry.  The industry has shifted to accepting all levels, abilities, and speeds, focusing on the finisher, and not the time. Admittedly (and unfortunately), there is still a big portion of the half marathon industry that aren't adapting to change, but The Biggest Loser Race Series is not one of them.
